At The Table, Jesus is the Head.
It’s not about us; it’s all about Him. We gather around Jesus to know Him, learn from Him and live His way together. He is our message, our hope, our purpose and the reason we exist. Everything we do is for the purpose of knowing Jesus and making Him known..
At The Table, everyone is invited.
The Good News of Jesus is for everyone. Like the servants sent into the streets in Jesus’ story of the wedding banquet, we carry His invitation wherever life happens; to our homes, workplaces, schools, neighbourhoods and communities. We keep making room and inviting all to the Lord’s Table until every seat is filled.
At The Table, everyone has a seat.
An invitation opens the door; having a seat means you are welcomed, known and valued. We make room for people of every generation, culture, background and circumstance to participate and share what God has placed within them. Together, we become a Church that reflects the beautiful diversity of God’s kingdom.
At The Table, we sit face to face.
Around tables, everyone can participate, honest questions are welcomed and relationships have room to grow. We listen to one another, explore scripture and form Christ-centred friendships shaped by His Word.
At The Table, we are family.
Church is a family where generations share life and grow together. We make room for children, young people, adults and seniors to know one another, learn from one another, offer encouragement and use their gifts side by side. We care for one another through every season and help each other become more like Jesus.
At The Table, we share what we have.
Everything we have is a gift of grace from God, entrusted to us for the good of others. We share our time, resources, gifts and lives with generosity, compassion and kindness. We care for those in need, stand with people who are overlooked or marginalized and serve our communities with the love of Jesus.
It is my judgement therefore, that we should not make it difficult for people who are turning to God.
